Mason Orchestral Society


 

  • The first rehearsal of the season for the Symphony is Tuesday, September 7th at 7pm in the band room at Mason Middle School (Google Map Directions). We're looking forward to a great year of music!
  • Thank you to all who came to the pre-season picnic tonight. It was great to spend some time chatting with everyone! We hope to make this a yearly event as well!
  • We have started a new page called News in place of the old Newsletter page. This is a place for members to post information about upcoming concerts they're involved in or any other news they would like the membership/world to know about.
  • The Mason Orchestral Society is proud to introduce Tim Krohn as our new Music Director and Conductor of the Mason Symphony and Chamber Orchestra. Having just completed a Masters in Conducting from the University of Michigan, Tim comes to us with extraordinary experience as a musician, conductor, and education. We are very excited for the future of the Mason Symphony and Chamber Orchestra!
  • Mason Philharmonic Auditions are set for September 8, 2010 in the orchestra room at Chippewa Middle School (Google Map Directions) from 3pm to 8pm. You can sign up for a time here. You can find out more about the Philharmonic here
  • The Mason Orchestral Society is excited to announce the new Conductor for the Mason Philharmonic, Lyndra Tingley. A music education major at Michigan State University, Lyndra comes to us with the talent and skill that will only improve the quality of the Mason Philharmonic. Welcome, Lyndra and we're excited for the future of the Mason Philharmonic.

Interested in joining us?

If you play an instrument, this is your chance to play with an orchestra.  All instruments are needed for the Mason Philharmonic and strings, trumpets and percussion needed for the Mason Symphony.  Rehearsals are held in the Mason Middle School Band room on Wednesday (Philharmonic) and Tuesday (Symphony) nights at 7:00 pm during the school year.
